Jonathan Barton is the Chief Operating Officer at Jain Global, a global investment management firm that was launched in 2023. Previously, Jonathan was a Managing Director at Bank of America from 2016. He has been in the financial services industry for more than 35 years.

Prior to joining the bank, Jonathan was a founding partner and COO at Meru Capital Group, LP – a multi-asset class hedge fund manager – and before that he was a founding partner, co-COO and CFO of Old Lane, LP. Old Lane was a global investment firm which was bought by Citigroup in 2007. Prior to Old Lane, Jonathan had been a Managing Director in the Institutional Securities Division at Morgan Stanley.

Jonathan has an MBA from London Business School, and an MA from Cambridge University where he studied Law and History of Art.
